PUBLIC NOTICE 14: REPATRIATION OF STRANDED UGANDANS IN SAUDI ARABIA

Public Notice on change of date of flight

Riyadh, 2nd September 2020: The Uganda Embassy in Riyadh extends its heartfelt greetings to theUgandans living and working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Reference is made to our communication dated 25th August 2020on the subject above, particularly informing all stranded Ugandans in theKingdom of Saudi Arabia about the rescheduling of the flight from Saturday, 29thAugust 2020 to Monday 7th September 2020 to allow for more Ugandansto meet the requirements for this flight.

Thisis therefore to inform the public that due to the positive response receivedfrom the Ugandans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and with support of thegovernment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Embassy has been able to securetwo flights departing the Kingdom on Sunday, 6th September 2020and Saturday, 12th September 2020 departing from King AbdulazizInternational Airport in Jeddah.

Important to Note:
  1. Checkin baggage allowance is 2 pieces of 23 Kgs each (46kgs) and hand luggageallowance of 7 Kgs. 

  2.  The indicated schedule is as follows and will besubject to change upon issuance of the ticket;

  3. Therefore, all intending travelers are requested to be at theairport at least 5 hours prior to departure time on the designated datei.e 09:00 am on Sunday, 6th September 2020. 
The Embassy takes this opportunity to extend its sincere apologies forany inconveniences caused due to this logistical challenges experienced and reiterates thatthe date of the first flight is brought forward to Sunday, 6thSeptember 2020. We wish all the travelers journey mercies as they returnto Uganda.
