PUBLIC NOTICE 8 - REPATRIATION OF UGANDANS IN THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN

Riyadh, 2nd August 2020: The Uganda Embassy in Riyadh has consulted various Airlines to arrange Special repatriation flights for registered stranded Ugandan nationals in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, expected to depart on Saturday, 15th August 2020

CLARIFICATION ON A VIDEO CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA DATED 23RD JULY 2020 SHOWING 4 LADIES CLAIMING TO BE AT THE EMBASSY WITHOUT ANY ASSISTANCE.

The Embassy has learnt with concern a video recording dated 23rd July 2020 circulating on social media comprising of 4 ladies who were supposedly sleeping under a tree behind the Chancery for the past week.

The Embassy would like to clarify on the matter as follows;

Riyadh, 23rd July 2020: The Uganda Embassy in Riyadh in coordinationwith the Association of the Ugandan Communityin Oman (AUCO) has consultedFly Dubai Airlinesto arrange a Specialrepatriation flight for registered stranded Ugandan nationals in the Sultanateof Oman, tentatively departing on Sunday, 9th August 2020.

PUBLIC NOTICE 5 - REPATRIATION OF UGANDAN NATIONALS STRANDED IN THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN, THE STATE OF KUWAIT AND THE KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

Riyadh, 19th July 2020: The Uganda Embassy in Riyadh extends its heartfelt greetings to theUgandans living and working in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, The State ofKuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

TheEmbassy has consulted various Airlines to arrange Special repatriation flightsfor registered stranded Ugandan nationals in the three countries mentionedabove, expected to commence on Sunday, 9th August 2020.Following these consultations, we would like to update the public on the matter.

PUBLIC NOTICE 4 - REPATRIATION OF UGANDANS IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

The Uganda Embassy in Riyadh extends itsheartfelt greetings to the Ugandans living and working in the Kingdom of SaudiArabia.

The public is hereby informed thatthe special repatriation flight from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uganda has been rescheduled for Wednesday 22nd July 2020,to give time for Ugandans to make the bookings and payments for this flight.

REPATRIATION OF UGANDANS FROM THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia flags off the first group of 175  Ugandans being repatriated out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aboard Fly Dubai Airlines at 10:45hrs. These Ugandans were stranded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to the travel restrictions imposed following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

KING OF TOORO MEETS ASSISTANT MINISTER OF ECONOMY AND PLANNING OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King of Tooro Kingdom and his delegation met His Excellency Khalid Alshonaifi, the Assistant Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, 2nd January 2020 at the Ministry of Economy and Planning headquarters with whom he shared the expectations for the World Monarchs Summit to be held in Kampala Uganda in September 2020.

HON JANAT MUKWAYA IN SAUDI ARABIA TO ATTEND THE FOURTH SESSION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE OF LABOUR MINISTERS

The Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Hon Janat Balunzi Mukwaya met the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafees at the sidelines of the Fourth Session of the Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers, ICLM, held on February 22, February 2018 in the Red Sea Port City of Jeddah.  

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI, QATAR PRIME MINISTER HOLD TALKS

President Yoweri Museveni has held a meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani in Doha today.
